Excellent in snow and rain. Great quality!

This is 6month review after 4000miles, through summer rain and winter snow (up to 8 inches). I got Prinx HiSeason for my 2007 Honda Accord V6, right after got Michelin CrossClimate 2 on another vehicle (about $1200 total). The Prinx is suprisingly good in every aspect. (1) Quality: 0 balance weights were needed, 1st set of tires don't need any weight in my 30 years of driving. Michelin needed 28 weights to balance 4 tires. (2) Low noise: Michlin CC2 is noisy on certain road patterns, and loss of MPG (about 1.5 mpg). No such issue on Prinx. (3) Excellent snow performance: Tire slipping warning triangle hasn't been flickering in heavy rain and heavy snow (mostly city roads), markedly better than previous All Season tires I used. At least matched the performance of Michelin CC2. The lesson is that: you don't have to spend on big name tires. The higher price is for advertising, using discount to lure customers, and easy warranty. Based on my research, the down side of no-name tires is hard to get the tires warrantied. I haven't used tire warranty anyway, in 30 years.

Good so far

Tires have been pretty good so far. Not enough miles on them yet to give an in-depth review. While we've had some snow, I haven't driven the vehicle in any yet.

Excellent Tires

I have fairly low expectations of tires. As long as they are not noticeably terrible I am happy. With that being said these tires are excellent. I had Goodyear assurance tires previously on my Avalon and they were perfectly fine. I put these on about a month ago and this week we got 4 inches on snow overnight. I had zero issues driving anywhere. In fact I tested them on my driveway which has an initial steep incline where I would previously slip going up but had no issues at all. My biggest concern is other people finding out about these and the price going up. So if you are on the fence buy something else. If you want a good tire that gets through snow buy these.
